Well I finally started mounting the swim step today. I made decent progress and hope to have it mounted tomorrow. Once that is done I have to pull it off to seal all the holes properly. At least everything will be drilled and in the right spot. The uprights and brackets will be sized correctly so it shouldn’t be to hard to pull the hardware piece by piece and seal. It is looking good and you can see the spot on the starboard side for the kicker motor. The ladder reaches to within 2 inches of the ground when on the trailer so it should be way deep when in the water and make it easy to get out of the water. I also still have to do all the other transom hole repairs. Probably 30 holes form 1/8″ to 2″ to repair, argh! Here are a few progress pictures.
